Free British Census and B/M/D Records
Sunday, February 25th, 2007For those researchers of British ancestry, there is a Web site that is in the process of providing census data from as far back as 1841, available free on the Internet. The FreeCEN Web site hopes to provide the census images for every county in the UK. It is a volunteer project and they are always looking for helpers to transcribe the data.
This site has two sister sites, FreeBMD that is providing free B/M/D records, and also FreeREG that provides transcriptions of parish registers from across the UK.
